HVAC in Athens, Henderson County
Athens is the Henderson County seat, home to the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center and the courthouse square, where Highways 175, 31 and 19 all meet.
Athens has a large stock of mid-century brick homes with undersized returns — adding return air is often the cheapest comfort fix we make here. We factor that in before quoting anything — a system that suits a Athens property is not automatically the one a national chain would sell you.

24 hour AC repair in Athens: what happens when you call
Athens is the Henderson County seat and sits a straight shot down Highway 175 from our Eustace shop. Emergency calls reach a live person day or night. We ask what the system is doing, walk you through the checks worth doing before we roll — thermostat, both breakers, outdoor disconnect, condensate pan — and give you a real arrival window.
Historic in-town homes vs. newer construction
Athens has a substantial stock of older in-town homes with retrofitted ductwork, undersized returns and limited attic insulation. Those houses respond better to duct sealing and return corrections than to larger equipment. Newer construction on the edges of town is typically heat pump or high-efficiency split systems, which need defrost, reversing valve and auxiliary heat diagnostics rather than gas-side work.
Commercial HVAC in the county seat
Athens carries more commercial and institutional buildings than the surrounding towns — offices, retail, restaurants and light industrial. Those are packaged rooftop systems where economizers stick, condenser coils clog, and belt-drive blowers drift. Scheduled maintenance keeps them off the emergency list during the weeks in August when everyone calls at once.
Repair or replace an Athens system
Under roughly ten years old with an electrical or motor failure, repair. R-22 with a sealed-system leak, replace — the refrigerant alone outruns the value of the repair. We quote both options flat-rate and up front, explain what the ductwork needs, and financing is available with approved credit.
